How to change jquery datepicker format

First I show you simply code to create calendar by use Jquery. You need 2 .js files and 1 css file. You can download it here. Before download deselect all components and select only one: Datepicker. On right side click to download button.

Change date format is simple

If you want to change date format, you must do one simple step:

$('#datepicker').datepicker({dateFormat: 'yy-mm-dd'});

Or this format:

$('#datepicker').datepicker({dateFormat: 'dd.mm.yy'});

Or this, if you need named your day, monday example:

$('#datepicker').datepicker({dateFormat: 'DD dd.mm.yy'});

Or only year?:

$('#datepicker').datepicker({dateFormat: 'yy'});

You can set your date format what you need.
